Sensorist Climate Monitoring System |
|
|
I recently tested and reviewed a novel climate monitoring system that is a terrific addition to a wine cellar...
It connects wirelessly to your WiFi network, and provides real-time temperature and humidity monitoring.
Sensorist has built an ingenious website that presents your data across several dimensions. You can also download your data to Excel, if you wish to do your own analysis.
The website enables you to set alarm thresholds that will send you alerts anytime a threshold is exceeded or goes back into range.
If that's not enough, there is an App for your smartPhone that gives you real-time and historic presentation of the data!
My review includes screen shots, and a sampling of data from my testing.
Links to the Vendor's website and on-line store are also in my review... Click this link to learn more:

Enjoy outstanding cuisine prepared by some of the finest chefs from New York's hottest restaurants. Taste wine and beer from Aussie and Kiwi vineyards and breweries, as well as favorites from our own backyard. MDA's A Taste of Down Under 2014 will take place on Monday, June 23rd, from 6-10pm. The evening will be hosted, for the second year in a row, at Tribeca Rooftop at 2 Desbrosses Street (just south of Canal, just east of the West Side highway). Take in the New York skyline with over 500 guests while you enjoy live music, an incredible auction and magnificent culture while wining and dining on food and beverages of Australia and New Zealand.
MDA's A Taste of Down Under is presented by Macquarie.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. MDA also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.
As part of its metro research efforts, MDA currently supports 24 research projects in the Tri-State area and nine clinics in Metro New York.
These clinics, and others across the country, offer medical services to children, adults and their families affected with any of the more than 40 muscle diseases in MDA's program.
MDA's programs are funded almost entirely by the voluntary contributions of concerned individuals and cooperating organizations.

Winemaker Dinner: Noelia de Paz of Bodegas Tampesta
In 2000, the very talented Noelia de Paz and her brothers started something quite unique when they sought help from one of Spain's most prestigious and venerable winemakers, Raúl Peréz. Noelia, in collaboration with Raúl, planted some very special vines in northwest Spain's under-the-radar but oh-so-promising Tierra de León DO. Over the course of the last fourteen years Noelia and Raúl have worked determinedly to handcraft some of Spain's most distinct, interesting, artisanal wines under the Bodegas Tampesta label.
We are thrilled to welcome winemaker Noelia de Paz to co-host this very special themed dinner featuring her unique wines.

The Jazz Age Lawn Party is New York City’s original prohibition era inspired gathering. Hosted and conceived by Michael Arenella, the event started as a small gathering of perhaps fifty friends and fans. The event, initially produced by the island, was handed over to Michael in its third year to organize and grow. Under his watch, the event was carefully crafted and nurtured, becoming what is now referred to by The Wall Street Journal as, “the biggest (not to mention the cleanest and most family-oriented) regular event in the ‘Retro Noveau’ movement...” It was at this time that St-Germain joined forces with The Lawn Party, delightfully whetting the whistles of fops and flappers with their refreshing summer cocktails.
Selected by The New York Times as one of the most memorable events of 2011 and 2012, The Jazz Age Lawn Party offers a magical opportunity to travel back in time. Two weekends a year, guests are invited to discover and experience one of the most colorful and formative epochs in American history.
