Take a private, intimate art gallery and add a flowing open wine bar and delicious cheeses and chocolate desserts. To complete the scene, mix in about 50-75 professionals ages 25-45. What you have is a private affair for Moxie members, complete with 40+ bottles of wine, a table full of food and an art gallery rented for our exclusive use.

Dress is trendy/upscale. No, guys, suits are not required. But when you see how fashionable the ladies look, you'll be glad if you dressed to impress. Ladies, you can wear anything from your little black dress to what you wore to work that day.

Light music will play and new friends will be made. Show up with your room mate, your life mate, your co-workers..or show up alone. There will be a staff of 3 or more volunteers on hand to help introduce you to other members.

We start the night in high gear at Artica Bar & Grill. This two level venue is a great combination of a cool New York city bar on the first floor and a very posh, social atmosphere on the second floor.

From there we’ll hop to Tonic East, a three level bar and grill. This venue consists of a comfortable first floor, easy for mingling and socializing, a high energy second floor for the more adventures types and a cozy roof top with candle lights and breath taking views of the Empire State and Chrysler Building.

Third in line is Mercury Bar, in the heart of Murry Hill. A great sports bar with drink specials and a very active social scene.

We’ll finish our evening at The Joshua Tree, a very active, very fun bar/lounge/club famous for their VJ’s (video jockeys ). There we’ll enjoy a sing along atmosphere while the VJ spins videos of music from the 80’s and 90’s. A great finale to a great evening.

Drinking may have been driven underground during the Prohibition, but with 32,000 moonshining establishments citywide, it certainly wasn't eradicated. Celebrate the feeling of doing something you shouldn’t at MCNY’s Speakeasy party every Wednesday through Aug 18. “First Thursdays” Networking Night

IvyLife's Networking Nights from March through July attracted almost 1,000 NYC area Ivy alumni and together raised almost $4,500 for great charities. The Institute of Masters of Wine is pleased to invite you to the 2010 Annual Champagne Tasting in New York to be held at Christie’s Rockefeller Center premises.  This event has always been among the premier wine tasting events of the year, held at the outset of the holiday season under optimal conditions in the heart of the best markets in the United States for champagne.

The tasting will feature a broad survey of champagne currently on the market from every category: non-vintage, vintage, rosé, blanc de blancs, prestige cuvée, and sweeter styles, including extra-sec, sec, demi-sec, and riche. Wines will be tasted from the most well-known and established houses along with exciting small growers, and will include many rare and difficult to procure bottlings.

In order to avoid the overcrowding the tasting willbe divided into two sessions, each will be limited to 300 attendees, including Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers, students of wine, key wine buyers in the retail and restaurant trade, and journalists.   Tickets are $50.00 each and valid for one of the two sessions.
